What happens if I miss a day?

Nothing bad. You don't lose lives, XP or progress. Your streak resets to zero, but you can rebuild it the very next day. GitQuest is designed to encourage, not to punish.

What time is the daily challenge available?

The new challenge is available every day at midnight (Paris time). You have 24 hours to solve it and earn the same-day XP bonus.

How long does a daily challenge take?

Between 2 and 10 minutes. Challenges are designed to be quick and focused: one command, one concept, one hands-on exercise. Perfect between classes, on the commute or during a break.

Do the challenges follow a progression?

Yes, challenges adapt to your level. The first days focus on basic commands, then difficulty increases gradually. You can also choose to take on challenges of a higher level.

Can I do challenges from previous days?

Yes, past challenges remain accessible in the archive. You can do them at any time for practice, but the same-day XP bonus is no longer available.

1. Discover the challenge

Each morning, a new Git challenge is available. The theme and difficulty vary to cover all of Git.

2. Solve in the terminal

Type Git commands in the built-in simulator. No installation, no configuration.

3. Validate and earn XP

If your solution is correct, you earn XP. An extra bonus if you complete it the same day.

4. Build your streak

Each consecutive day of practice strengthens your streak. Milestones unlock bonus XP.
